Volunteering with meals on wheels is a great way to get out and help our home-bound seniors and people with disabilities right here in Rockwall County! Meals on Wheels delivers over 170 hot, nutritious lunches Monday-Friday to people who are over 60 years old and disabled, whose health prevents them from fully caring for themselves.
Each day 14 volunteers deliver between 5 and 20 meals to seniors in their homes. We serve 2 congregate centers with 25 seniors eating together each day. We are currently seeking volunteers to pick up and deliver meals when our scheduled volunteer drivers can’t make it. The average time commitment is about an hour per week. Delivering is a great way to get to know your way around Rockwall County and a fun way to get your kids involved!
