URGENT

OPENING DOORS – RAISING THE IMPACT

Dear Friends,

Thanks to the generosity of our community, we are closer than ever to creating a lasting place of nourishment, connection, wellness, and hope for seniors throughout Rockwall County.  What began as a vision is becoming a reality, but we cannot bring it fully to life without your support.

The future Senior Life Center at Meals on Wheels Senior Services at 1780 Airport Road will be far more than a building. It will be a welcoming place where older adults, veterans, and individuals with disabilities can gather in community, receive essential services, enjoy nutritious meals, build meaningful relationships, and thrive with dignity, purpose, and independence.

We have faced significant challenges along the way. Rising inflation, increased food and construction costs, unforeseen project delays, and a substantial decline in available grant funding have all impacted on our ability to complete this important project.

Yet every gift moves us closer to opening the doors of a center that will enrich lives and strengthen our community for generations to come.

Would you consider making a gift or pledge today to help us cross the finish line?

If you are inspired by this vision, we invite you to share it with your friends, neighbors, colleagues, faith community, civic organizations, or business networks. We would welcome the opportunity to meet with individuals or groups, provide a presentation about the Senior Life Center, and discuss ways to become involved. Sometimes a simple introduction can open the door to partnerships and support that help make a lasting difference.

Your support is more than a donation; it is an investment in the well-being of our neighbors and an opportunity to leave a legacy for those who need us most. Together, we can build a place where connection, care, and hope flourish for years to come.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions, to schedule a presentation, or to learn more about how you can help bring this vision to life.

Respectfully,

Margie VerHagen
